Gallaudet University students are responsible for knowing the information, policies, and procedures outlined in the Student Handbook. Although the printed Student Handbook was prepared with available information at the time of publication, Gallaudet University reserves the right to amend, without notice or obligation, any information or statement in the Student Handbook as deemed necessary, and once those changes are posted online, they are in effect. The online version of the Student Handbook is considered the most updated version and should be referred to at all times.
The Student Handbook is produced by the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs. Although it provides a resource and reference guide to some University operations, policies, and regulations, additional material is found in University catalogues, publications, departmental brochures, and official University memorandums. Students should be familiar with the latest policies and procedures so promulgated. They supersede all others.
